OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE

The purpose of this course is to cover some areas related to Ballistics. Several major topics that will be covered in less than a day of presentation, in this course, are also available in five day short courses. These are: LASERS; ENVIRONMENTAL & CHEMICAL HAZARDS, and INTERIOR BALLISTICS.

The other major topics are being considered as five day courses.

Please note that the instructors will be different (in most cases) than those who are already part of developed courses; the material presented will, in most cases, be different than that presented in the developed courses.

The scope of the material to be covered is outlined above. The major areas are: FUZES, LASERS; FIRE CONTROL; ROBOTICS AND ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE; TRACERS; ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE, HAZARDOUS WASTE, CHEMICAL HAZARDS AND TOXIC SUBSTANCES; and INTERIOR BALLISTICS OF VERY LARGE GUNS.

Since there will be less than a day of coverage for each topic, the material covered will give the Technician, Engineer or Senior Scientist the current status of these major topics.
